Sunday service, April 5 – “Who Do You Say I Am?”: Reflections on the historical Jesus

Guest minister Rev. Bruce Marshall joins us this Sunday.  He observes: “It is a question Jesus is reported to have asked his disciples, a question that echoes through the ages: Who was Jesus? Hidden behind the stories and the myths was a human being who lived and taught and healed and inspired a movement and was executed as a result. What can we know about this historical person, Jesus, and what might it mean for Unitarian Universalists?”

Rev. Bruce Marshall is a retired Unitarian Universalist minister who has served congregations in Michigan, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, and Maryland, He is also a writer. His fifth book, “In Later Years: Finding Meaning and Spirit in Aging,” was published by Skinner House Books. Bruce is married to Amy Dibner, a retired architect. They live near downtown Silver Spring.
