This Sunday, we will view “Waging Peace: A UU Reckoning with War, Pacifism, and Justice,” a homily given in July by Rev. Dr. Rebekah A. Savage,Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Rockville.  As Unitarian Universalists, we consider peace a sacred calling, yet our faith also wrestles with the hard questions of when, if ever, force is justified. We explore the profound tensions between the principled path of pacifism and the moral calculus of just war, asking: What does our faith demand of us in a world marred by violence? Join us as we seek not easy answers, but a deeper understanding, courageous compassion, and a renewed commitment to justice in an age of conflict.

This Sunday is also our Blessing of the Backpacks.  School children of all ages and teachers of all ages and subjects should bring their backpack, laptop bag, or a notebook that can be filled with blessings.
